The Dubsmash queen rose to fame when she was paired with "Pambansang Bae" Alden Richards on Eat Bulaga's Kalyeserye segment.
The two became popularly known as AlDub, a combination of Richard's first name and Mendoza's character in "Kalyeserye." Their pairing resulted to their wide exposure and to the further increase of the TV ratings of Eat Bulaga.
Lately, the 22-year-old actress Maine Mendoza become the headlines of several local news outlets after she posted her "Open Letter" on her Twitter.
After she posted her open letter to express her true sitiuation, the young actress was not seen in the said noontime show for almost a week already.
Many speculated that because of this open letter, Maine was suspended by the staff. However, some said that she is only having a vacation at America to rest a bit from showbiz.
Recently, the noontime show host "Bossing" Vic Sotto revealed the truth regarding Maine Mendoza's suspension from the show during the grand press conference of upcoming film 'Meant To Beh'.
The veteran comedian denied that the young actress is suspended from the noontime variety show and sia that she might be on vacation.
“Definitely not. Ba’t naman isususpende siya ng TAPE, ‘no, ng Eat Bulaga? Lalo na kay Mr. Tuviera, respetado niya ‘yang opinyon, pag-iisip, at kung anuman ang pinagdadaanan ng bawat kasama namin sa Dabarkads.”
