Archaeologists Uncovered A Large Amount Of Viking Gold


Most of the time metal detector enthusiasts are most likely to find the treasure within hours and hours of walking around with their metal detector but this particular event just took about ten minutes before striking the gold.

This group is called 'Team Rainbow Power', they found six golden bracelets and one silver bracelet that is considered as the largest discovery of Viking gold in Denmark.

Team member named Marie Aagaard Larsen said that she only been on the field for around ten minutes before striking gold.

The two of the bracelet was made in the so-called Jelling style that is associated with the elite members of the society during the Viking era. According to Peter Pents, an expert from National Museum the said bracelets could have been used by the Viking leader to form alliances or to reward the faithful people who follow him.

Sønderskov Museum plans to display the find before it is sent to the National Museum in Copenhagen for further study.
