Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a 2005 British-American fantasy film which was directed by Tim Burton and written by the famous author John August. The film is based on the 1964 British novel written by Roald Dahl by the same name. The storyline is based on Charlie and is along with four other kids who win the contest, subsequently led by Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp) on a tour of his famous chocolate factory that was considered the most magnificent in the world.
When the remake of the famous film of the year 1971, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory was announced, many fans of this film didn’t find this news very amusing. Mainly because director behind the new version of this film was Tim Burton, who was considered as a dark and often bizarre director.
People raised the question that how is it possible that the director of films like Edward Scissorhands, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Sleepy Hollow and Batman Returns, among others, can be the maker of a colorful and fantasy-filled movie.
