Aljur Abrenica Shares How He Asked For Robin's Permission To Marry Kylie Padilla

Aljur Abrenica is an actor and a model, he was discovered on GMA show Starstruck and won the ultimate hunk award in the year 2007.

Aljur and Kylie started dating on the year 2011 and later broke up in 2014. But after few years, the ex-couple dated again in 2016. And got engaged in the year 2017. They have a baby boy who was born in August of 2017.

Kylie Padilla is the only daughter of famous action star Robin Padilla and Liezl Sicangco.

Aljur and Robin were not on the good terms. Until a few weeks ago, Aljur and his family went to Robin Padilla's place to visit.

People thought it was just a casual visit until in an interview with Boy Abunda, Aljur Abrenica admits their visit's purpose is to formally ask Robin Padilla's permission for their marriage.

“Naisip ko lang kanina bakit ngayon ko lang ginawa. Si Kylie nakita ko yung ngiti, sobrang saya. Hanggang sa pag-uwi namin, hanggang sa pagising ko sa umaga, masayang-masaya yung bahay namin.” Abrenica added.

Aljur answers on why did this happen just now? Aljur said that he was scared. He was scared because he might get rejected. According to Aljur, he much admired Robin Padilla.

“Natatakot ako nun e. Takot na ma-reject, takot na dahil may conflict. Dahil sa nangyaring yun sa gabing yun, kay Tito Robin, mas humanga ako sa kanya.”

Before it happened. Aljur asked his wife Kylie that he wanted her to go home to his father's home. When Kylie asked Why?. Aljur replied he needs to ask permission of her father first before everything else.

“e kailangan ganun e, mamamanhikan ako. Hingin ko ang kamay mo.” Aljur said.

Aljur also shared the story before they went to Robin's house. He said that he changed his pants 7 times

“nakapitong beses yata akong nagpalit ng pantalon e.” Aljur Said.

He's also practicing his speech to Robin Padilla. Once they get to meet.

“Tito Robin, magandang gabi po sa inyo. Kaya po ako nandito ngayon ay pormal ko pong hihingin yung kamay ng anak ninyo, kasama ko po yung mga magulang ko na sinusuportahan ako.” Aljur added.
