The 1990s is rich with talented artists which is the reason for the emergence of the Philippine entertainment industry – both in movie and television.

A lot of young stars were discovered and there were plenty of child actors and actresses that really made their mark. One of them is this very popular child actress – Anna Larrucea, do you still remember her? Larrucea was once the biggest child actress in the 1990s. She became a mainstay in hit gag show, “Ang TV” – from where Goin’ Bulilit was spun off. She also did several soaps and movies. She was also paired with several child actors for the films she participated in.

Anna Larrucea starred in successful films such as Batang X in 1995 and Magic Temple in 1996. She also participated in Ang TV: The Movie in 1996, and was paired with Patrick Garcia in Batang PX in 1997. She was also part of the Gloria Romero and Jolina Magdangal starrer Puso ng Pasko in 1998. She starred in Mula sa Puso as Claudine Barretto’s younger sister, which was eventually turned into a movie in 1999. However, Anna Larrucea had a big break with the movie Baby Love in 1995, when she was paired with Jason Salcedo.

So what happened to Anna Larrucea and why did she disappear from the limelight?

Anna Larrucea attempted to come back, however, she was not so lucky when she returned. In 2005, she started taping for the film Metro Manila Film Festival 2016 entry, “Saving Sally” – she was supposed to play the role of Sally. But since the production lengthened up to 2016, she was replaced by Rhian Ramos when it was reshoot in 2010.
