Breakups between couples can end in two ways, there are those who end the relationship in a mutual understanding and there are others who end the relationship on a really bad note. Just like this couple, Guy Gentile, Bahamas-based banker, and Russian model Kristina Kuchma.
Gentile allegedly broke up with Kuchma over dinner at a restaurant when she asked for $50,000 to help start up a marketing business venture.
They had been together for a year and a half, he has already bought her a Gucci bag, a new iPhone, and Beats headphones as a birthday gift. But he thought that her request “blurred the lines” between business and romance.
He said,
“I said, ‘You know what? You got the wrong guy. If you want a guy who’s going to hand you money for nothing, you got the wrong guy’.”
Gentile claims that she then threw hot green tea in his face, and stormed off with the keys to his $55,000 Mercedes.
The 24-year-old model texted Gentile in broke English the night after crashing the car into the swimming pool in his backyard, stating:
“Lier! You told me you will help me to start a business! That were your words! Now you want to be an investor??? Well investor I have a surprise for you on a backyard, start with that investment idea first.”
According to Gentile,
“My heart dropped because of [fears she was inside]. I didn’t care about the car at that moment. But after I realized she wasn’t in it, then I start to get pissed off that she would pull something like this after everything I’ve done for her.”
He said he came home the next morning to find his Mercedes S400 hybrid in the backyard pool.
“I dumped her. She dumped my car.”
Gentile added when Business Insider asked him about the incident:
“I must accept some responsibility, if a woman is not crazy, she doesn’t love you. And I must’ve drove her crazy for her to have drove my car into the pool!”
Kuchma reportedly drove the car into the backyard swimming pool on Saturday, October 7, and it took Gentile four hours to fish it out.
Police confirmed that a report against Kuchma was lodged as she was the only other person with access to the car. She reportedly declined to comment when contacted by The New York Post.
Gentile also said,
“I really love this girl and would have married her, but she went too far.”
We hope he manages to repair any damages to his car, and yes, Kuchma is one crazy woman, but instead of just shutting her down, he could’ve talked her into getting a loan by herself to start her marketing business venture.
It’s true that as a boyfriend Gentile should support Kuchma’s decisions, and if he doesn’t want to invest his money into it, he could’ve suggested her an alternative that would make her more independent. But oh well, at least he knows that she’s a crazy woman now, and he’s off the hook!
