After Seventy Two Years Her Love Letter Finally Reached To Her Husband
Allen Cook and his daughter were renovating their house when they found a crack in the ceiling. Behind the crack, they found a heartwarming love story.
May 4, 1945, was the date when the letter was written by Virginia to her husband, Rolf Christoffersen he was a sailor in the Norwegian navy.
Allen's daughter found someone named Rolf Christoffersen with the help of the internet and gave him a call, leading her to his son in Santa Barbara, California.
When Virginia wrote the letter the younger Christoffersen wasn't born yet but he says her words are very meaningful to him. His mother, who died six years ago this week, wrote about her love for her husband.

After receiving the information he immediately called his father, who is now 96 and also lived in California, and read the letter to him over the phone.
Finally, her husband received her love letter after 72 long years just before Mother's Day, it is now another strong connection to Virginia Christoffersen.
“It’s Mother’s Day and reading her words reminded me just what a wonderful person she was and how much she loved us,” her son said, through tears.
