Cindy Mathis from Tifton, Georgia, lost her 16-year-old daughter Macy in a car crash riding with her is the 18-year-old boyfriend, Adam Sattler. He was also killed in the wreck.
Nearly a month after she lose Cindy Mathis, she found something that gave her the comfort she needed and that is her daughter's letters.
She almost forgot the letters Macy gave her on her birthday.
Every letter has something written on them such as "Open when... you miss me," when she was feeling lonely, restless, excited and many other names of emotion.

“They’re so on point, and there are occasions where she knew me way too well,” Mathis told CBS News. “My daughter knew me.”
She's thankful that some part of her daughter still remains with her even if it's only through words on a page.
“Most of them are definitely uplifting,” Mathis said.
Mathis discovered one of the letter weeks later while cleaning out the trunk of her car. It was titled, "When you can't sleep."

Inside, Macy shared a loving reminder with her mom: “I want you to know that I love you. I feel like I don’t tell you that enough. And since you can’t sleep and you’re probably stressed about something, I need you to know that I love you.”
With the letter in one hand and another hand over her mouth, Mathis started bawling.
“That’s when I had remembered she had written these letters for me,” Mathis said. “I tore my room apart looking for all of them.”

Mathis has managed to find all the letters but one and she plans to stick to her daughter's rule that she will only read them when she really needs it.
“It’s the best gift that a child can give any parent,” she said.
She then decided to create a memorial page for Macy on Facebook so she can share the letters and other videos with friends and family who are also missing the teen.
“Each [letter] has helped me in so many ways,” Mathis said. “It’s like she knew, but she didn’t know... It’s an amazing feeling. It feels like she’s there with me.”
And even now the memorial page named "Macy's Journey" is still active

"On these sleepless nights I find myself going through notes, journals, artwork, and many interesting things my daughter left behind. She wrote this in her math composition book. I'm assuming she had a deep thought this day and wrote this in class. I thought about changing the name of this page, but because I keep finding books she wrote, poetry she wrote, artwork she drew, etc. Macy's Journey is not over. She left us with wisdom, love, and beauty that will continue to not only touch my heart, but to every person that can see the beauty behind her very talented mind."(Photo Credits To Macy's Journey/ Cindy Mathis)
