This House Was Completely Sprayed In Blood After Family Dog Attacks Would-Be Thief

If you’re intending on robbing a house sometime soon (which you definitely shouldn’t be, by the way), certainly you would make sure that there isn’t a guard dog in the house before commencing with the act? Burglary is up there with the lowest crimes someone can perpetrate. To honestly believe that you have right to just take someone’s belongings that you haven’t struggled with, is completely absurd. Not only this, but the psychological effects that robbery can have on its victim, are horrible.

However, one burglar got a bit more than they bargained for when they tried to rob his home in Virginia. If the markings on the wall and floor are anything to go by, this robber got into a scrap with the family’s German Shepherd and lost heavily. Not much is known about what exactly happened in the house, but it’s clear that the dog did enough to put the would-be robbers off. When Tristan James Murrin and his family returned their family home, they found blood stains all over the doors and carpets of their house.

In a post on his Facebook page, Tristan said: “Last night we had a break in, luckily no one was home. My best friend Oden who is a German shepherd, protected my home and belongings when I wasn’t there, I couldn’t be more proud of him. Such an amazing breed that’s why everyone who doesn’t have an actual dog should consider in adopting or buying a dog. Please share and like to get the story out.”

Tristan told ABC8 about the incident: “We noticed something when we walked in, when I walked in with my mother and there are blood spots on the ground, we looked up stairs and you see trails of blood coming from upstairs going all the way down.

“I think the dog did its job. He knew that someone was not supposed to be in my house and no one was home and he knows that he wasn’t supposed to be in there and he was doing something that he wasn’t supposed to be doing and so he knew to act upon it.”

However, despite the clear evidence of bloody violence, Tristan insists that Oden is a pretty placid dog: “He plays with the kids, the cul-de-sac knows him. They know him as the big dog, the community loves him, the kids come up to him and want to touch him and play with him.”

Due to the insane amount of blood lost, Tristan’s family reckon that the intruder must’ve had to receive medical attention after the incident at a nearby hospital, and are appealing for any information regarding the identity of the criminal. The police are also investigating the robbery, and it looks like they won’t have any issues getting DNA samples, thanks to Oden and his fighting skills.
