Most people when they get old, they tend to just enjoy life. Usually, they're just enjoying the benefits as a señior citizen.

In the Republic of the Philippines, there are several benefits if you are a señior citizen. In order to be a señior citizen, you must be a resident of the Philippines and must be 60 years old or above.

Examples of benefits as a señior citizen are 20% discount and VAT exemption in medically related privileges, transportation privileges, hotels, restaurants discount, and funeral or burial services.

Not all señior citizen are enjoying their benefits. Like this poor old woman, acting like a service crew in a famous fast food restaurant McDonalds, Mandaluyong branch.

A concerned citizen named John Paolo Labao posted a picture and video of the old woman cleaning the said restaurant that went viral.

According to John Paolo, they were just eating their food with his friends in JRU Kalentong in Mandaluyong City then suddenly they saw this old woman cleaning and picking up chairs to put on the table.

They thought the old woman has a grandchild who is working in McDonald's. But they asked the old woman, why is she doing it? they were surprised when they the old woman replied she is not a crew and she doesn't have a relative who is working in McDonald's. She said that she is a fire victim and she's doing it because she needs a shelter. She doesn't have home or relatives to turn to.

According to the old woman, she tried looking and applying for jobs. But no one is accepting her for she is old. So she entreated the manager of McDonald's if she can sleep in the said branch and she will help cleaning the restaurant in return.

John Paolo said he and his friends have nothing to give or offer help for the poor old woman. So what they did is post the picture on Facebook hoping that her relatives would see it.
