The Singer - Singer 2017 is the first season of Chinese television series Singer, a rebranded version of I Am a Singer. It is aired from January 21 to April 22, 2017 on Hunan Television. Due to the banning of Korean-related branding and artists, the show was renamed, and no competing singers also double as MCs, with hosting duties shared by the singers' music partners, who had prior hosting experience, if not, they will be partnered by someone else who does, while the singer introduction will be done by the music partners themselves. The finals were hosted by He Jiong after a year's absence.

KZ Tandingan mononymously known as KZ, is a Filipino singer. She rose to prominence following her win on the first season of The X Factor Philippines in 2012.
KZ Tandingan started singing as a child but had to stop when she was in her junior year in high school after suffering from a throat problem. She is an alumna of University of Southeastern Philippines in Davao City and had graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Biology.
Before she joined The X Factor Philippines, Tandingan was part of a local acoustic band.
KZ already confirmed that she will the newest challenger to join the Singer 2018 were her first performance will air on February 9, 2018.
This talent show were contestants mostky a Chinese singers, KZ will join the show to compete to China, Taiwan and Hong Kong singers.
All the competitors on the show are professional singers including Jessie J from the UK; Tien Chong from Hong Kong, Angela Chang from Taiwan; Li Xiaodong, Wang Feng, James Li and Juno Su all from China.
One of KZ's main contender is no other than international star Jessie J.
From the start of the competition it is said that Jessie J always landed the #1 spot and said to be the favorite this season.
