On my way to my field work early this morning, while walking along Tayuman , Manila; I saw this old woman at the sidewalk with her colorful hand-made crafts.
Her name is Ely. Nanay Ely make these "gantsilyo" crafts on her own everyday. At her obvious age, she managed to travel on different of Lrt stations and showcase her products on the streets. Her daughter also help her as she does the delivery of orders on some resellers around Manila.
She also gave me her contact number just in case I have friends who might be interested in her crafts. And of course, I bought one for my tumbler.
