Treasure Hunter Believes That The Treasure He Found Leads The Way To A Trove Of 400,000 Priceless Coins

Treasure hunter named Barry Clifford discovered some gold coins which he believes that will lead him to the long-lost treasure of the infamous Whydah Gally that went down in a storm in the year 1717 it is believed that the ship contains a massive booty which includes a 400,000 gold and silver coins.

The wreck was found later on in the year 1984 and it is true the wreck has been found but not all its treasures meaning there are still a lot of treasures out there that might belong to the Whydah Gally and this gives hope to Mr. Clifford.

Mr. Clifford believes that he has found the trail that will lead him to the priceless plunder.

In the picture above Mr. Clifford is seen holding two pieces of treasure. On the left is a metal syringe and on the right is a Spanish coin that he salvaged on the 'yellow brick road' that he believes leads the way to a trove of 400,000 priceless coins.

The Whydah Gally was a fully rigged galley ship that has been captured by the pirate Captain Samuel "Black Sam" Bellamy. On April 26, 1717, the Whydah Gally was caught up in a violent storm and wrecked.

After the find he made he decided to do one more trip before the summer ends hoping that he will get more evidence.

Mr. Clifford and a seven-man crew went back on a three-day trip and Mr. Clifford believes that two examples that were pulled up on the previous trip are particularly compelling evidence: a cannonball piled with 11 coins and a long piece of iron stacked with 50 coins.

Mr. Clifford has taken about 21 trips at a cost of more than $200,000 with the recent lightning strike and worsening weather makes his next trip impossible. So he decided to relax for now and wait for his next voyage.
