US Explorer Discovered Supposedly Captain Kidd's Treasure With His Metal Detector

A US explorer named Barry Clifford found a silver bar on the ocean floor and written on the bar is the initial letter S and a letter T. The silver bar is weighing 50kg and was brought to shore on the island of Sainte Marie, from what is thought to be the wreck of the Adventure Galley.

The silver bar was presented to Madascar's president at a special ceremony.

Barry Clifford said that "To literally have it hit me on the head - I thought what the heck just happened to me. I really didn't expect this".

The ship found is believed was built in England. However, there is bound to be skepticism and calls for more evidence that the bar was linked to Pirate Captain Kidd.

There is an option to take some samples of the wood found in the ship to analyze it.

William Kidd (Captain William Kidd) or simply Captain Kidd is a Scottish sailor who was tried and executed for piracy after returning from a voyage to the Indian Ocean. He was appointed by the Crown to tackle piracy and capture enemy French ships but turned to piracy himself.

He looted an Armenian ship in the year 1698 that is sailing under a French pass.

Later on, Captain Kidd was captured and was sentenced to death.

According to the legend, Captain Kidd hid most of his treasures.
