In the city of Wuhu, Anhui province, China, a police officer was on duty in the rain for a few hours, a kind-hearted man spotted the officer under the rain and couldn’t just stand by and do nothing.
A CCTV surveillance camera captured the entire event, and the footage was posted by Wei La Video on Chinese video sharing platform Miaopai.
The driver of the red car was seen scrambling out of the car to take an umbrella out of the boot, before getting back in.
As the driver moved the car off the junction and swerved into the chevron, an umbrella was tossed out from the front window, before driving off.
Stunned by the kind gesture, the police officer stared at the umbrella for a few seconds before realizing what was going on and picked it up.
Zhai Yujia, the officer said that he was touched and happy that his work was being recognized and appreciated by civilians.
He added that he wanted to thank the driver, but the car drove off too quickly.
It was later learned that the driver, Wang Zhaohua, 50, decided to help the police officer after he was moved by the officer’s dedication to his duty despite getting soaked in the rain.
You see people, although the other drivers obviously saw the police officer, they did not offer any sort of help, it was only that kind-hearted samaritan who offered help.
