They Call It The Sign Of The End And Many People Freaked Out When They Saw This Unusual River

Many people in social media got shocked when they watch video footage of the so-called "river of blood". Many netizens said that this is a sign that the end is near but many also said this is due to a paint spillage and also many claimed that this is because of "blooms and others microscopic algae that produce toxins which turn the ocean and other aquatic environments to be red.".

Noctiluca scintillans, commonly known as the sea sparkle, and also published as Noctiluca miliaris, is a free-living, nonparasitic, marine-dwelling species of dinoflagellate that exhibits bioluminescence when disturbed (popularly known as mareel). Its bioluminescence is produced throughout the cytoplasm of this single-celled protist, by a luciferin-luciferase reaction in thousands of spherically shaped organelles, called scintillons. Nonluminescent populations within the genus Noctiluca lack these scintillons.
Bloom color partly derives from the pigments of organisms inside the vacuoles of N. scintillans. Blooms are often red in coastal areas of the North Sea. [wikipedia]
